It's Friday! It is going to be another PACKED weekend for us. We at least one thing planned every weekend for 7 weekends in a row. It must be summer! Here's a little snapshot of some things going on in our life...
1 | Memorial Day weekend // What a weekend. Baby's first time in the pool, homemade almond butter, a birthday party for our neighbor, cookout with friends, visits with family, whittling gnomes, lots of time to do whatever we want as a family, but most importantly remembering those who have served and have died for our freedom. This weekend was a great one.
2 | Dishwasher // I don't even know how long it has been since our dishwasher broke, at least 4 weeks based on where we were at in our first Whole30. However, our new one is being delivered this Monday! I am so excited to be able to use this little convenience again. If you've completed a Whole30 yourself you know all the dishes that come along with it. I'm seriously impressed we've survived this long hand washing dishes.
3 | Graduation // My little sister is graduating from High School this weekend. She's my youngest sibling and the one who I most remember being born as she is 9 years younger than me. I simply cannot believe all my siblings are adults! We’ll be spending lots of time at graduation parties the. Extra two weekends helping these graduates celebrate this important moment in their lives!
4 | Pool time // Over last weekend we got Cora's baby pool out and let her splash around. Since she is obsessed with bath time it was no surprise the pool was a hit. It hit 90+ degrees quite a few days in a row recently so we've been spending a lot of time on the patio. Do you have any good pool toy recommendations for kiddos around 12 months? Let me know! We've been using cups and tupperware lids but I'd like to have a few designated pool toys.
5 | Nursery // Well, we weren’t expecting to do it this Sunday but we walked into church last Sunday & decided to put Cora in nursery for the first time. At first she was so little she didn’t make a peep during service & then it was cold and flu season so we decided to wait until closer to summer. I got a little testy eyes as we walked away because our girl has hit another milestone. It was no shocker to us that she loved it. She’s loved daycare since the first day she went. She even had to get moved up into the walkers decimation because she looked to bored in the crawlers. All the kids at daycare are 2+ years older than her so she’s used to playing with bigger kids. She’s pretty amazing & we’re so proud of her!
What have you guys been up to this week and what are your plans this weekend?

Five on Friday 5.18
Hi friends, we made it to Friday. We have a packed weekend with fun and celebrating, but hopefully we get a little down time with just our family too! Have a great weekend!
1 | First (official) Mother's Day // Last year I was pregnant with baby C on Mother's Day and I think you are a mama the moment your baby is conceived, but I think this year is my first official Mother's Day since our girl is on the outside of my belly this year.
2 | Eleven months old this weekend // Where has the last year gone? Every single day I give her a million kisses because she keeps getting older by the minute. I just want to bottle this baby up! I love watching her grow and learn things but these moments go by way too fast!
3 | Organizing chaos // our guest bedroom needs an overhaul. It’s currently a dump spot & while it might not happen today I’m seriously hoping I get to tackle it Sunday.
4 | Almost summer // We’ve been spending almost every evening outside in the patio or taking a walk and it has been so good for all of us! The dogs love to roam around, Cora crawls all over & I chase her/attempt to read hahaha. Looking forward to summer when we can do this more!
5 | Exercise // I'm trying so hard to get back into exercising on a daily basis. I feel better when I do, I know my attitude towards my family is better too. This week I only did 3/5 days so far and I'm a little disappointed in myself but progress is progress.
Happy Friday! What are you doing this weekend?
